MCT
Forbo’s Marmoleum sheet and tile linoleum products have been available in the U.S. for over ten years, in that time becoming popular for their attractive appearance, bio-based content, low maintenance requirements, and good environmental performance. Mostly used commercially, MCT is making a breakthrough, transcending the reputation of being strictly commercial and has greatly impacted the residential market. Re-introducing the affordable and ‘greener’ option to compete with the conventional usage of vct, which comes with concerns about pvc and pthalates as well as the chemical emissions from the repeated stripping and waxing cycles required for maintenance.

To compete in these markets, Forbo has introduced Marmoleum composite tile (MCT), a thinner, less-expensive version of its product that is sold on 13”X13” tiles. The only difference between MCT and standard Marmoleum tiles is the thickness. MCT is 2mm thick; most vct is 1/8” thick. 

TERRA LIVING
Terra Living pure 100% natural carpet cushion.  With today’s ever increasing demands by consumers for renewable, sustainable, natural options in finishes for their homes, the timing is right for Terra Living wool cushion. This product is 100% natural and is a great alternative to petroleum based carpet underlayments currently available in bonded, urethane, and rubber catergories. Customers concerned with indoor air quality will be satisfied knowing Terra Living wool cushions are all natural and contain100% biodegradable, and has no dangerous chemicals or additives. 

The natural characteristics of wool give it a tremendous feel underfoot and the natural resilience of the wool fiber will ensure a lifetime of superior performance over traditional cushion options. This product is made from long staple, washed and combed wool fiber from the carpet industry in New Zealand. The fiber is collected and shipped to a felting company in Maine, U.S.A. where it is washed and combed again and then needle punched into cushion.  Feel the softness and resiliency of the product and it is evident that only the best raw materials and manufacturing techniques are used in the creation of Terra Living wool cushion.

STRAND BAMBOO
The style of flooring known as woven bamboo is produced from long, thin strands of bamboo pressed together with an environmentally safe resin under extreme pressure. The result is a strikingly beautiful material that’s exceptionally tough, due to the density of the compressed fibers. Twice as hard as red oak, woven bamboo is one of the most durable flooring materials you can buy. Strand woven bamboo is one of the most stable woods that can be used for wood floors. The durability and toughness of strand woven makes it very hard to beat when used in high traffic areas. With the fast growth cycle of bamboo three is always an ample supply of material. Woven bamboo is extremely easy to clean. Usually you only need a dust mop to clean it. If it does require actual mopping then a simple solution of vinegar and water will get the job done quickly. Woven bamboo tends to be more moisture resistant than traditional bamboo flooring. This can greatly increase the life span of your floor.

FABRICA WOOL - New wool style debut
Fabrica has introduced several breathtaking styles made of 100% New Zealand wool.

Brio is a grand, California contemporary-style frieze. The heaviest product Fabrica has ever offered, brios fat, felted yarns provide splendid texture and satisfying visual oomph. 

Mallorca, a cut and loop carpet, mallorca is a sweeping acanthus scroll pattern steeped in old world romance. Mallorca’s 13 colors form a spectrum of soft shades that are light in value, but too rich to be called true pastels.

Evia, another traditional style, evia is a striking cut and loop bas-releif to tendrils streun across an open field. A bolder palette overall compared to mallorca, containing, also, 13 colors.

Saba is deeply textured, transitional geometric cut and loop carpet with grasscloth inspired motif. Includes a palette composed of 12 new colors. Fabrica’s new wools are made at the company’s manufacturing facility in southern California.  Look-out for future wool releases by fabrica.

EXPANKO CORK
Expanko is excited to release two new products to their ever-expanding, unique and innovative collection. These products are a staple that define Expanko, and possess a contemporary yet timeless style. They compliment Expanko’s eclectic line of cork tiles. Expanko has always been on the cutting edge of design and pattern, with these two new designs put Expanko in a whole new genre and broaden the limitations and possibilities of cork. The first product is a two-tone ‘color body’ cork. The color comprises a majority of the 12”X12” tile, with a natural striated pattern that creates subtle direction. An alternative to wood, this product can be re-finished. The second product released is a hand-crafted Italian veneer. A remarkable handmade product designed by true Italian artisans creates the most unique patterns in the world, each possessing the exclusive qualities of natural cork. We are very excited to display and show these new products in our showroom.

Migrations™ BioBased Tile is the latest in affordable green flooring from Armstrong®. BioBased Tile uses Armstrong’s patent pending polymer, BioStride™, which contains corn, a rapidly renewable resource. BioStride reduces reliance on petroleum-based products and provides better performance than Vinyl Composition Tile.

Terra Lana Natural Wool Carpet Pad is made with recycled (pre-consumer) wool, a rapidly renewable resource. Wool carpet pad will typically outlast your carpet. In fact, it can often be reused or at least recycled. A wool carpet pad is the perfect compliment to wool carpet.
